Volunteers are what make this possible, helping us intake truckloads of goods each week, stock our shelves, and fulfill hundreds of orders each month. Volunteering at GiveNKind has a ripple effect across our entire area, making communities more resilient and keeping essential resources out of our landfills.

Most frequent questions and answers

GiveNKind offers several volunteer shifts during the day. Click here to see available times and to register. If you have a group that would like to volunteer, please complete the group form below to schedule your event.

Every day is different at the GiveNKind Center, depending on the donations that are arriving and leaving that day. Typical activities include pulling nonprofit orders, sorting donations, inventorying, and loading nonprofit orders into vehicles. 

GiveNKind is a working warehouse; volunteers should dress for the weather and wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes. Volunteering with GiveNKind involves walking and lifting up to 10 lbs. When you arrive you will be met by our staff who will explain the day’s activities and match you will an experienced volunteer.

GiveNKind is a working warehouse; volunteers must be over 13 years old

GiveNKind offers volunteer events for corporate groups, service clubs, and school groups of 6-20 people, ages 13+. Sessions are 1.5 hours each. Submit the group volunteer form for more information. After a day and time is confirmed, we will provide you with a link for your members to sign up.

Yes, we provide letters for community service hours at the end of volunteer shifts. When you arrive, let a GiveNKind staff member know that you will need a letter.
