GiveNKind offers several volunteer shifts during the day. Click here to see available times and to register.

Every day is different at the GiveNKind Center, depending on the donations that are arriving and leaving. Typical activities include sorting donations, inventorying, and loading nonprofit orders into vehicles. GiveNKind is a working warehouse. Volunteers need to be able to stand and walk for 90-minute shifts, lift products of 10 pounds, and safely operate around heavy equipment. For safety reasons, we cannot provide specialized accommodations. Please call (847)802-8977 ext. 1 if you have additional questions.

GiveNKind is a working warehouse; volunteers should dress for the weather and wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes. Volunteering with GiveNKind involves walking and lifting 10 lbs or more. When you arrive, our staff will meet you, explain the day’s activities, and match you with an experienced volunteer.

GiveNKind is a working warehouse; volunteers must be 16 years old or older, be in good physical health, and be able to safely operate around heavy equipment.

Yes, we provide letters for community service hours. If you are requesting a letter for school or a club, submit this form. For court-mandated community service, visit www.givenkind.org/community-service.
