Nonprofit Resource Fair | December 4, 2024

GiveNKind partnered with the Lake County Community Foundation and Vernon Area Library to organize a Nonprofit Resource Fair at the College of Lake County. The event brought together nonprofit professionals and businesses that provide nonprofit services, including insurance providers, accounting services, human resource professionals, banking and investment companies, legal advisors, event caterers, and more. The event was well-attended and well-received by nonprofit professionals and business leaders. An expanded event will be held in 2025. 

Workshop: Understanding and Caring for Vicarious Trauma | October 17, 2024

GiveNKind partnered with Simply Bee Counseling to offer an interactive workshop to increase awareness of vicarious trauma and its impact on helping professionals. Attendees left with actionable tips for developing a personalized self-care plan to manage the effects of vicarious trauma.

Nonprofit Mixer: February 22, 2024

GiveNKind’s first nonprofit open house at its new location at 1000 Asbury Dr was held on February 22. Attendees toured the facility, chatted with GiveNKind staff and board members, and met other nonprofit partners who share their passion for community building.
