GiveNKind is proud to partner with Forefront, the Illinois State Association of Nonprofits, to present the Nonprofit Resource Fair in Chicago.
The Fair is designed to bring together nonprofit professionals and businesses that provide nonprofit services in an intimate, low-stress environment where you can ask questions and meet with local providers, including:

Celebrating Partnerships | January 22, 2026
GiveNKind staff and board members gathered with more than 30 nonprofit partners for an afternoon of conversation, idea-sharing, and refreshments. We are grateful to everyone who joined us, especially those who traveled from afar on a blustery day. Hearing about the meaningful impact you are making in your communities, and knowing that our work supports yours, was deeply affirming. A special thank you to Inspire Through Flowers for providing flowers for attendees.
Nonprofit Resource Fair | December 3, 2025
GiveNKind partnered with The Lake County Community Foundation and the Vernon Area Public Library to present the 2025 Nonprofit Resource Fair on December 3 at Lake County College. The event, designed for nonprofit staff, leaders, and volunteers, helped nonprofits explore local resources for nonprofits and connect with vendors that support the nonprofit
Self-Care for Nonprofit Professionals | June 4, 2025
Nonprofit professionals joined Ashley Cullen-Williams to take a deep dive into practices to restore energy and reset boundaries to continue our transformative work. The guided small group work was especially beneficial to attendees and provided tools for self-care beyond the workshop. The Vernon Area Library, Lake County Community and Foundation, and GiveNKind sponsored this workshop. We are especially grateful to Ms. Cullen-Williams for sharing her expertise and time.
Nonprofit "Night" | February 13, 2025
Nearly 50 nonprofit partners gathered at the GiveNKind Center for an afternoon of networking and community building. Long-time and newer partners toured the Center and shared how their organizations use resources in their programs. Inspired Through Flowers provided roses for everyone, a welcomed gift from an amazing nonprofit!
Nonprofit Resource Fair | December 4, 2024
GiveNKind partnered with the Lake County Community Foundation and Vernon Area Library to organize a Nonprofit Resource Fair at the College of Lake County. The event brought together nonprofit professionals and businesses that provide nonprofit services, including insurance providers, accounting services, human resource professionals, banking and investment companies, legal advisors, event caterers, and more. The event was well-attended and well-received by nonprofit professionals and business leaders. An expanded event will be held in 2025.
Workshop: Understanding and Caring for Vicarious Trauma | October 17, 2024
GiveNKind partnered with Simply Bee Counseling to offer an interactive workshop to increase awareness of vicarious trauma and its impact on helping professionals. Attendees left with actionable tips for developing a personalized self-care plan to manage the effects of vicarious trauma.
Nonprofit Mixer: February 22, 2024
GiveNKind’s first nonprofit open house at its new location at 1000 Asbury Dr was held on February 22. Attendees toured the facility, chatted with GiveNKind staff and board members, and met other nonprofit partners who share their passion for community building.
